With 83 million inhabitants, we use 47 million single-use plastic bottles for water & softdrinks per day (Deutsche Umwelthilfe). Tap water has a 587 times lower carbon footprint in comparison to bottled water from Germany (source: a tip:tap).

Positive climate protection effects are „eaten up“ partly by the mass use of bottled water. We want to change this quickly and in a focused way. Bottled water has a significant carbon footprint. Each type of bottle, single-use plastic, glass, PET, or recycled PET or even paper has to be produced, transported and waste-managed. This creates carbon dioxide emissions, that we can avoid through the smart use of tap water.

This means that everybody who identifies with our goals can participate as a private citizen or company.

We have two goals:

  • From 2022 on

    A national information campaign in order to speed up the switching to tap water solutions.

  • From 2023 on

    Establishing an infrastructure of water stations in retail stores in inner city areas of Germany. With this, we can reduce the mass use of single-use plastic bottles "to go“.
